Chakrasambhara, also known as Chakrasamvara in Sanskrit, is a deity revered in Tibetan Buddhism, particularly within the Vajrayana tradition. The name "Chakrasambhara" can be understood as "Wheel of Union" or "Wheel of Perfect Bliss," indicating the union of wisdom (prajna) and compassion (karuna) at the highest level of spiritual realization.

Chakrasambhara is typically depicted in union with his consort, Vajravarahi (Vajra Yogini), symbolizing the inseparability of wisdom and skillful means. He is often portrayed with a blue or dark blue complexion, holding various symbolic implements such as a vajra (thunderbolt) and a bell, representing male and female principles in union.

The practice of Chakrasambhara is considered advanced and is associated with tantra (esoteric practices) aimed at achieving enlightenment swiftly for the benefit of all beings. It involves intricate visualizations, rituals, mantra recitations (especially the Chakrasambhara mantra), and meditative practices designed to transform ordinary perceptions into the enlightened state.

Chakrasambhara's practice is believed to purify obstacles related to desire, attachment, and dualistic thinking, ultimately leading practitioners to the realization of the non-dual nature of reality and the attainment of Buddhahood.
